Une fois de plus, Orson Scott Card nous ravit avec sa façon simple de raconter ses personnages et les émotions. On voit l'écriture s'améliorer, et la narration s'approfondir par rapport à Une planète nommée trahison ou à Espoir du Cerf.
Et puis surtout, on est loin de la vulgarisation philosophique dans laquelle Scott Card avait sombré notamment avec Le mystère dans la boite ou Xénocyde.
Hard to tell how much I engoyed this tale. Because it is a tale! Far from the philosophical handbook-like stories that Orson Scott Card wrote (I think of Trahison or Espoir du Cerf), you get here a real sensitive quest about emotions, sensations, and power.
Orson Scott Card's writing skills at its very best, describing knowingly inner feelings and reactions. If you liked Ender, I think you'll enjoy the Songmasters too
